1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Burrsmith. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "User", or "You") and Burrsmith ("Burrsmith", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of our online store, interactive brewing calculators, and related services.

By browsing, accessing, or placing an order through this website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or accessing under parental supervision) and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Shipping & Returns Policy.

2. Direct Website Orders, Pricing & GST Invoicing

• Currency & Taxes: All product prices displayed on the website are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) as applicable under Indian law.
• Tax Invoices & B2B GSTIN: A valid GST-compliant tax invoice is generated for every completed purchase. Customers requiring input tax credit (B2B) can provide their registered GSTIN and legal business name during checkout.
• Order Confirmation: Upon completing checkout, you will receive an automated order confirmation email and SMS containing your order summary. Burrsmith reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order due to technical errors, incorrect pricing, suspected fraudulent activity, or unserviceable pincodes. If an order is canceled after payment has been captured, a full refund will be processed promptly to your original payment method.

3. Secure Online Payments

Online payments on burrsmith.com are securely processed through our licensed Indian payment gateway partner, Razorpay. We support:

• Unified Payments Interface (UPI: Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and bank UPI apps).
• Credit and Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, and American Express).
• Net Banking across major Indian banks.
• Authorized digital wallets and cardless EMI options where supported.

Burrsmith never collects, stores, or accesses your sensitive payment card details or banking credentials. All transactions are protected by bank-grade 128-bit SSL encryption and comply with RBI standards and PCI-DSS requirements.

4. Shipping, Transit & Logistics

All direct website orders are dispatched from our domestic fulfillment center and delivered via leading express courier partners through Shiprocket and Delhivery One networks (including Delhivery, Blue Dart, and partner express carriers).

• Tracking: An Air Waybill (AWB) tracking number with a live tracking link is sent via email and SMS once the shipment is dispatched, and can be viewed anytime under My Account → Orders.
• Delivery Timelines: Standard delivery takes 2 to 4 business days for major metropolitan areas and 4 to 7 business days for other regional pincodes. Delays caused by adverse weather, transit strikes, or courier logistics bottlenecks are beyond our direct operational control, but our support team will actively assist in expediting delayed parcels.

5. Purchases Made on Amazon.in

For customers who choose to purchase Burrsmith products via our official Amazon India storefront, fulfillment, shipping, customer support, and replacement requests are handled directly by Amazon Logistics under Amazon's 10-Day Replacement Policy (replacement only). Terms of purchase on Amazon are subject to Amazon.in Conditions of Use and Sale.

6. 1-Year Limited Warranty & Operational Acoustics

The Burrsmith Origin O5 manual coffee grinder is covered by an official 1-Year Limited Warranty provided in partnership with our precision manufacturing facility and fulfilled directly within India by Burrsmith support.

• Coverage: Covers genuine defects in materials, components, and factory workmanship in the CNC 420 stainless steel burrs, dual ball bearings, and central shaft mechanism for 12 months from delivery.
• Normal Operational Sounds (Not a Defect): Manual coffee grinding involves close-tolerance mechanical interaction. Fracturing roasted coffee beans produces a natural, crisp crunching sound. At very fine settings, rotating the handle empty without coffee beans may produce a soft sound or slight brush as burr surfaces operate in close proximity. This is normal mechanical operation, causes zero damage, and does not affect grinding performance or grind consistency. Operational sounds and empty-rotation sounds are not defects and are not covered under warranty.
• Warranty Exclusions: Water damage, submerging in water, cleaning with detergents, running through dishwashers (causing bearing rust), grinding non-coffee items (spices, salt, nuts, green/unroasted coffee, stones), physical drops/abuse, forced overtightening, attaching power drills, and normal cosmetic wear are strictly excluded.

7. Product Care & Safe Operation

The Burrsmith Origin O5 is a precision instrument engineered specifically for roasted whole coffee beans:

• Dry Cleaning Only: Never submerge the grinder in water, wash burrs or bearings with running water, or clean with harsh detergents. Always clean dry using the included soft cleaning brush or a rubber air blower.
• Intended Use: Do not attempt to grind spices, peppercorns, unroasted green coffee beans, or other hard substances, as doing so can damage the cutting burrs and void the warranty.
• Manual Operation: The grinder is designed strictly for hand-cranking. Do not attach electric drills or motorized drivers to the driveshaft.

8. User Accounts & Security

When you register an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account details, and for restricting unauthorized access to your device. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@burrsmith.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

9. Intellectual Property

All content published on this website, including but not limited to the Burrsmith trademark, logo, Origin O5 product designs, technical specifications, photography, text, graphics, icons, digital guides, and the interactive brew ratio calculator, is the exclusive intellectual property of Burrsmith and protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws of India and international treaties. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written authorization.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Burrsmith and its officers, directors, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from the use of, or inability to use, this website or our products. Our maximum aggregate liability arising from any transaction or product claim shall not exceed the total purchase price actually paid by you for the product in dispute.
