Add & bloom
Add 30 g coarse coffee and 60 g water off the boil. Stir and wait 30 seconds to bloom.

Fill & steep
Pour the remaining water to 450 g, place the lid on with the plunger up, and steep 4 minutes.

Break, skim & plunge
Break the crust, skim the foam, then press the plunger down slowly and serve right away.
Tips
- Coarse grind is essential - fine grounds slip past the filter and muddy the cup.
- Decant fully; coffee left on the grounds keeps extracting and turns bitter.
- Pressing slowly avoids stirring up sediment.
