Steps
1
Combine
Add 100 g extra-coarse coffee to 800 g cold, filtered water. Stir to fully saturate.
2
Steep
Cover and refrigerate 12-18 hours. Longer steeps taste stronger and sweeter.
3
Strain & dilute
Strain through a filter. Dilute the concentrate 1:1 with water or milk to taste, over ice.
Tips
- Use the coarsest grind you can - it keeps the brew clean and free of sediment.
- Store concentrate in the fridge and it will keep for up to two weeks.
- Too strong? Add more water. Too weak next time? Steep longer, not hotter.
